WRA Water Information System
Web mapping tool for Jamaica's rivers, wells and water resources data
What it does
The Water Information System is the Water Resources Authority's browser based mapping tool for Jamaica's water resources, served from wra.gov.jm/webmap under the title Jamaica WRA Water Information System. The WRA monitors streamflow at river gauging stations and groundwater levels at well sites across the island, and maintains the national hydrological database that the system draws on.
Alongside the web map, the authority publishes a flood map and an interactive story map for the National Water Resources Master Plan, and runs a Koha library catalogue at wra.gov.jm/koha for its reference collection. The services pages cover the permits to drill wells and the licences to abstract water that the authority issues, along with application forms and fee schedules.
