Auditor General's Department
Searchable archive of Jamaica's performance, special and IT audit reports
By Auditor General's Department
What it does
The Auditor General's Department audits the Government of Jamaica's financial management systems and compliance with financial policy. Its site exists mainly to publish the resulting reports, and it does so through a searchable reports database.
The archive is organised by report type and covers performance audits, special audits, IT audits, economic assessments and the department's annual reports, with counts of each published on the site. Reports span finance, commerce and industry, health and social welfare, education and youth, transportation and infrastructure, agriculture and natural resource management, energy and mining, and local government, so a citizen or journalist can locate the audit covering a particular body or programme.
The department also publishes its strategic business plan for 2025/26 to 2027/28, newsletters and other publications, a list of audits currently in progress, and a citizen feedback mechanism. It records ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification. Everything published is free to read.
