Jamaica's online tax office for filing, payments and property tax queries
What it does
The Tax Administration Jamaica portal is the web side of the country's tax system, built on RAiS, the revenue administration information system. Taxpayers register online, then log in to file returns, make payments and manage their accounts through the eServices facility.
Several specific services are exposed from the portal. A property tax query system lets a property owner look up what is owed against a valuation number. eMVRC covers electronic motor vehicle registration and related certificates. Payment options include direct banking and direct funds transfer as well as card payment for items such as motor vehicle fitness fees.
The portal is the same system behind the TAJ Mobile app, with which it shares login credentials, and it carries the forms, notices and guidance that accompany each tax type. Using the portal is free; the taxes and fees paid through it are separate.
