What it does
Stay Alert is a Ministry of National Security app launched in 2014 with four functions: iReport, for sending anonymous photo, video, audio or text tips to police; Panic Mode, a distress button that contacts police directly; The Law, a plain-language search tool for Jamaican statutes; and Alerts, for receiving safety notices as text, video, audio or photo.
The app passed 130,000 downloads and was endorsed by Digicel and FLOW. Jamaica Observer reporting confirms an iOS release followed the original Android launch, but no working App Store listing is currently available, so this entry lists the Google Play app only.
