Statistical Institute of Jamaica

The Statistical Institute of Jamaica is the country's national statistical office and its site is the primary source of Jamaica's official statistics. Key indicators are shown on the front page, including consumer price index and inflation measures and labour force survey results such as the participation rate, employment to population ratio and unemployment rate, each with the reference period.

Statistics are organised by domain. Economic sections cover national accounts, international merchandise trade, price indices, sectoral and financial statistics, interest rates, balance of payments, monthly average foreign exchange rates and central government accounts and estimates. Demographic and social sections cover population, births, deaths and migration, marriages and divorces, the labour force, employment and earnings, health, education, housing, crime and justice. Further sections cover environment, information and communication technology, living conditions and poverty, gender, special population groups, energy supply and the Sustainable Development Goals.
