RGD Online Certificate Applications

This is the Office of the Registrar-General's online application system for certified copies of Jamaican civil registration records, covering birth, death and marriage certificates. It is the practical route for Jamaicans at home and abroad who need a certificate for school enrolment, a passport, a visa application, or to replace a document lost in a disaster.

A birth certificate application collects the child's details, the registration date, code, number, parish and district, both parents' names, the applicant's details and relationship to the child, the reason for the application, and a choice of delivery or pickup location. Applicants are asked to allow ten working days after a birth is registered before applying, with an expedited route available by visiting an office in person.

Civil registration now sits under the National Identification and Registration Authority, which directs certificate requests to this system and states that applications are completed online with digital payment rather than in a queue. The main rgd.gov.jm site was not serving over TLS at the time of checking, while this application system was live.
