By Planning Institute of Jamaica
What it does
The Planning Institute of Jamaica is an agency of the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service and acts as the government's central planning body. Its site is the publication channel for the Economic and Social Survey Jamaica, the quarterly Review of Economic Performance and Economic Update and Outlook, and the Jamaica Survey of Living Conditions.
Beyond documents, the site hosts JamStats, a statistical database of national indicators, a GIS maps section, and a monitoring and evaluation portal for the Community Renewal Programme. A research and working papers section, an online book store and the Wesley Hughes Documentation Centre round out the reference material, with an ask the librarian service for enquiries.
The institute also maintains the Vision 2030 Jamaica national development plan and the country's Sustainable Development Goals reporting material on the site.
