Mines and Geology Division

The Mines and Geology Division regulates mining and quarrying in Jamaica and publishes the country's geological information. Its map holdings are linked from the site and include the Jamaica Mining Cadastre, Jamaica mineral information, landslide susceptibility maps, Portmore hazard zone maps and the geology of Jamaica.

Service pages set out the division's fees, forms and payment information, its analytical laboratory services, and guidance documents including a guide to obtaining a quarry licence, a hillside development manual, a listing of mining and quarrying companies, material on rehabilitation of mined out lands and documentation and approval procedures.
