Court Administration Division
Court lists, court location directories and performance reports for Jamaica's judiciary
By Court Administration Division
What it does
The Court Administration Division was established in August 2009 to provide administrative services to Jamaica's courts, with the aim of strengthening judicial independence by giving the judiciary greater input into budgetary decisions. It is led by a Director of Court Administration.
Its site works as the navigation layer across the court system. It carries cause and hearing lists for the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court and the Parish Courts, and directories of family courts, the Kingston and St Andrew courts and parish court locations, with a court location map for finding the right courthouse.
Publications are issued on a regular cycle: annual reports, performance reports, strategic plans and newsletters, alongside FAQs, protocols, the customer service charter and public education material. The site links out to the individual court websites for filing and judgment material rather than hosting e-filing itself. Access is free.
