What it does
Backwork is a self-hosted alternative to tools like Datadog or Sentry: it runs alongside a team's own apps and collects their logs, resource usage and errors, showing crashes, out-of-memory kills, restart loops and error spikes in one dashboard. When data stops arriving it says "no data" rather than showing a comforting green light that is not true, which the case study frames as the most dangerous lie a monitoring tool can tell.
It tracks response times and failure rates, alerts over Slack, Discord, email or SMS the moment something breaks, and folds repeat errors into one so the real problem is not buried. It is multi-tenant from the ground up, organisations, teams and projects with isolated access, verified by a cross-tenant isolation test, and carries its own internal security self-audit across architecture, performance and multi-tenancy that found and fixed real issues before launch.
Backwork watches the host it is deployed on rather than a cross-server fleet, and has no public users yet.
