876 On The Go
Book rides with licensed Jamaican taxi companies from your phone
What it does
876 On The Go lets users book rides with a licensed taxi company in Jamaica directly from a smartphone, from anywhere in the world. It runs on the TaxiCaller dispatch platform (per its Android package name) and is listed on both the Apple App Store (Jamaica storefront) and Google Play.
It was named alongside Uber and inDrive in the Jamaican government's 2024 twelve-month ban on ride-hailing/taxi-hailing apps, indicating it was an established local service at that time.
