What it does
VM Money Transfer is the remittance arm of the Victoria Mutual Group, handling inbound transfers to Jamaica from the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. The public site carries a rate and fee check, an agent location finder covering VM Building Society branches and sub agents islandwide, and information on the VM Money Transfer card used to speed up collection at a counter.
Receivers can take cash at a branch or sub agent, or register a direct to bank account arrangement so funds land in an account without a counter visit. Sending is done through overseas partner channels rather than a VM app: the published partner list includes MoneyGram, Xoom, Ria, Remitly, WorldRemit, Remitbee, Viamericas, TapTap Send and NCS.
VM also operates foreign exchange counters under the VM Money Express name for buying and selling US, Canadian and sterling cash.
