What it does
The Mona Library serves the University of the West Indies Mona campus in Kingston across several branch libraries by discipline, supporting undergraduates, postgraduates, faculty and visiting researchers. Its search layer is UWILinC, a hosted Ex Libris Primo discovery service that indexes the catalogue and subscribed content in one place.
Other online services include an electronic databases directory at /library/international-databases, a digital collections section at /library/digital-collection, subject library guides on LibGuides, and the UWISpace institutional repository on DSpace where theses and research output are deposited. A virtual reference service, ASKMONA, takes research questions online.
The library also runs a Technology and Innovation Support Centre for intellectual property and patent searching assistance. Access to the catalogue and digital collections is open, while subscribed databases require a campus account.
