What it does
The UWI Global Campus, formerly the Open Campus, is the University of the West Indies arm that delivers programmes online and through physical site locations across the region, described on its own site as one campus across 17 countries and 42 locations with more than 400 programmes. Jamaica is one of those countries and has its own country page at global.uwi.edu/jamaica listing the local site offices.
Prospective students use a programme search at /academics/programme-search and an online application at /admissions/apply-now, then check application status through the Banner self service system at ssb.open.uwi.edu. Enrolled students sign in to the student portal at portal.open.uwi.edu and register for courses through myGC at myopen.uwi.edu, with email on Microsoft 365 under the uwi.edu realm.
Separate sections serve graduate studies and research at /gsr and the campus libraries at /library. The campus headquarters and several of its administrative functions are based in Kingston.
