Jamaica's education ministry: schools directory, exam results, learning platforms
By Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information
What it does
Jamaica's education ministry site is the hub for the systems teachers, parents and students actually use. It carries a searchable schools directory, an interactive map dashboard of public schools across the island, school bus schedules, and published examination results for CSEC, CAPE, PEP, CVQ and City and Guilds. An EMIS portal with helpdesk handles school management functions for administrators.
Learning platforms are linked from the same place. The Primary Exit Profile site at pep.moey.gov.jm publishes PEP sample items, online lessons, the National Standards Curriculum guides, PEP facts and the examination calendar. Educate Jamaica 2.0 at educate.gov.jm provides on demand audiovisual learning support and worksheets for primary and secondary levels, a Book Fusion digital library holds ebooks and videos for both levels, and the MoEYI eResources mobile app offers grade level ebooks, digital textbooks and interactive content with offline reading.
A school to work transition section carries career planning material for school leavers with disabilities. Curriculum guides, examination reports, policy documents and school bulletins are distributed through document repositories linked from the resource sections. Everything is free to access.
