NCB's digital wallet for cashless payments, remittances and Jam-Dex
What it does
Lynk is a mobile digital wallet launched by NCB Financial Group, letting users sign up with just a smartphone and a valid national ID (no bank account required). Users can send and receive money, pay bills, top up mobile credit, buy data plans, transfer to any local bank account, and receive Western Union/MoneyGram remittances. Cash-in and cash-out is supported free of charge through NCB's islandwide ABM network.
The app has since added a virtual Visa card that can be activated within the app for local and international purchases, and is one of the few Jamaican wallets integrated with Jam-Dex, the Bank of Jamaica's central bank digital currency. Jamaica Observer reporting put usage at close to 300,000 users.
