What it does
Kitlist prices out a multi-item purchase that spans several stores, a supply order, a care package, a gift registry, by turning pasted product links into a single running total instead of a spreadsheet of links and a lot of tab-switching. Adding an item means pasting a product URL from any store; Kitlist fetches the page and uses Claude to reliably pull out the name, price and image across the many different ways stores lay out a product page, rather than maintaining a brittle scraper per retailer. A Manifest V3 browser extension lets a shopper capture an item straight from a store page while browsing, without copying URLs by hand.
Because items can come from many different stores, Kitlist suits jobs a single store's cart cannot do: a build list, a wish list, a shared shopping plan, with the total kept current as items are added and removed.
Kitlist is a focused personal-scale tool. AI extraction depends on the source page being readable, so an unusual or heavily-scripted store page can occasionally need a manual touch-up.
