The Jamaica Tertiary Education Commission is the regulatory authority for institutions offering tertiary level education in Jamaica. Its Register of Institutions is a filterable public listing of every institution it has registered, showing the institution name, its type and its current registration status, with a detail page per institution and a load more control for the full set.
Entries can be filtered by category, including career and vocational college, edtech, medical and nursing, military academy, polytechnic, theological and university. Institutions listed at the time of review include the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean, Trench Town Polytechnic College, St. Joseph's Teachers' College, Sigma College of Nursing and Applied Sciences, Sam Sharpe Teachers' College, Moneague College and Knox Community College.
The same site carries a programme tuition fee database, a scholarship database hosted on Airtable, and a Tertiary Education Management Information System listed as coming soon. The register is the practical way for a prospective student in Jamaica to check whether a school is legally registered before paying tuition.
