What it does
The Jamaica Trade Information Portal is the government's reference system for traders, with account registration and login. A user selects an export or import operation and a partner country, then works through the applicable commodity and tariff information, regulatory measures, standards, legal documents, procedures and forms for that trade.
The portal carries market access material and trade agreement details, market analysis tools, and the sanitary and phytosanitary and technical barriers to trade enquiry points. It publishes Jamaican import and export trade statistics, a certified motor vehicle list, and a list of approved customs brokers in Jamaica, alongside guides to exporting and importing and profiles of private sector bodies such as the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce.
It also acts as the front door to the Jamaica Single Window for Trade, known as JSWIFT, with a tutorial, and to the EXPORTJamaica programme and its Export Academy. Registration and certification requirements for exporters are grouped in their own section.
