What it does
The Jamaica Library Service runs the public library network across all fourteen parishes and carries the line transforming lives, empowering communities. Its online catalogue runs on Koha at catalogue.jls.gov.jm, searchable without visiting a branch.
E membership sign up is handled directly in the catalogue through the Koha patron self registration form at /cgi-bin/koha/opac-memberentry.pl. An e reference service takes questions by email to [email protected] and by WhatsApp, with a virtual chat with librarians on weekday mornings and early afternoons.
