Inkress

Inkress is a commerce and payments platform built for Caribbean merchants, most of whom cannot use Stripe, Shopify Payments or PayPal because those platforms do not operate in the region. It takes card payments and can switch between payment providers automatically if one goes down, backed by a double-entry accounting ledger so the books reconcile the way a bank's would. A separate risk and compliance service handles identity checks, fraud screening and limits, and the part of the system that moves money only acts on those checks, holding a payment rather than guessing if the checks cannot run.

Around that payments core sit a merchant dashboard for verification, statements, disputes and payouts, a built-in marketplace where shoppers can discover and buy from merchants directly, a developer platform with SDKs, OAuth apps and webhooks, and integrations that handle local banking and business-registration paperwork. Card data is isolated behind its own tightly scoped boundary and tokenized before the rest of the platform sees it. Inkress is also the platform FleekSite, the studio's website builder, was originally part of before commerce was split out into its own company.

Inkress is in production for Caribbean merchants today, with newer capabilities rolled out market by market. As of the case study it had processed more than 14,000 orders.
