HandyPay
Lets small Jamaican merchants accept card payments from a phone using QR codes, no card reader needed.
What it does
HandyPay lets Jamaican merchants accept card, Apple Pay and Cash App payments from a phone, without a physical card reader or monthly fee. A merchant generates a QR code or shareable payment link for any amount and shares it over WhatsApp, SMS or email; funds settle to the merchant's Jamaican bank account within two to three business days, processed through Stripe. Pricing is per-transaction (4.9% plus US$0.40) rather than a subscription.
HandyPay is built by HandyHurry LLC, the same Kingston company behind the HandyHurry home-services marketplace, and is aimed at small businesses and independent service providers who cannot get a traditional card terminal.
