FleekSite
Website and store builder for small Caribbean businesses, themes, drag-and-drop or AI
What it does
FleekSite is a multi-tenant website and store builder for small Caribbean businesses. Each business gets its own site rendered through a real templating engine: pick a theme, build pages by dragging blocks onto a canvas, or describe the site in a chat and have a first draft generated from a reference to the business. Around the builder sit a product catalogue and store, a content editor, lead-capture forms, basic analytics and SEO, and the ability to buy a custom domain, with checkout and payments handled through Inkress, the payments company FleekSite's commerce features grew into.
FleekSite began in 2018 as one Elixir/Phoenix application and has been through a long modernization: the Phoenix core still renders sites through a Liquid templating engine, a newer TypeScript rendering service mirrors it route for route, and a Remix admin carries the drag-and-drop builder and AI features, which use both Claude and OpenAI with automatic fallback between them. As of the case study it hosted 234 business sites.
FleekSite is live in production, but active development is paused mid-rewrite: the platform runs while the migration to its newer stack, and the split of commerce into Inkress, sit partway done. The newest AI-builder work is gated as a beta rather than default self-serve onboarding.
