What it does
The EMIS Portal is Jamaica's Education Management Information System, the national platform through which public schools record and the ministry accesses education data. The live system runs on OpenEMIS at jm-moe.openemis.org/core, and the ministry describes it as the central hub for digital education tools and data access.
Schools and teachers get support through a Freshdesk help desk at moesyi-emis.freshdesk.com, which also handles the MOEschools work email accounts provisioned on Google Workspace. The ministry publishes an EMIS Teachers User Guide alongside the portal link.
OpenEMIS is an open source education management platform, and the Jamaica deployment is supported by UNESCO, UNICEF, the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. Access to the portal itself is restricted to school and ministry staff accounts.
