What it does
Do Business Jamaica (formerly hosted at dobusiness.gov.jm, now dobusinessjamaica.com) is a Government of Jamaica portal operated by JAMPRO, the country's export and investment promotion agency under the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce. It grew out of the National Business Portal concept first floated in 2016 and launched in phases from May 2023, with the underlying government-transaction site originally built by eGov Jamaica Limited.
The portal lets businesses find step-by-step guidance on government processes, apply online for licences, permits and incentives (it launched with roughly 13 such business-to-government processes, including cannabis licensing and crown-land divestment), and track applications through to a decision. It also surfaces sector information and investment opportunities across agribusiness, digital services, logistics, tourism, film, manufacturing and mining. The service is free to use.
