Compares buy and sell foreign exchange rates across Jamaican banks and cambios
What it does
Currency Watch tracks foreign exchange rates in Jamaica, pulling the current United States dollar, Canadian dollar, pound sterling and euro rates quoted by Jamaican financial institutions into one comparison so a user can see which bank or trader is offering the best buy or sell rate that day.
Alongside the rate comparison it converts amounts at the selected rate and includes calculators for loan and mortgage estimates, added in a later update that also reworked the interface.
It is a free app built by the Jamaican developer Romaine Halstead, first released in May 2025, with releases on both the App Store and Google Play and a current version dated December 2025.
