PAS by Advanced Integrated Systems

PAS is the health claims adjudication platform built by Advanced Integrated Systems Limited, a Kingston technology company that has been operating since the late 1980s. The system processes medical, dental, optical and pharmacy claims online and in real time, replacing paper claim forms passed between providers and insurers.

Around the adjudication engine the company runs the supporting infrastructure a claims network needs: a PAS help desk, a provider FAQ area for pharmacies and clinics submitting claims, and a drug search tool for checking what is covered. A hospital information system component, PAS HIS, extends the same platform into hospital administration.

Advanced Integrated Systems also supplies transaction hardware and document management to the financial, hospitality and healthcare sectors, including payment terminals, kiosks and point of sale equipment, but PAS is the software product it builds itself. Confidence is medium because the vendor site is thin on product detail and the market position claims come from directory and association listings rather than the product pages.
