What it does
SplashJamaica.com launched in June 2005 and is described as Jamaica's oldest online job advertisement platform. In its first year it posted over 3,000 vacancies and attracted roughly 180,000 job seekers signing up for regular job alerts; by May 2006 the site was receiving over 2.4 million hits per month.
The platform lets Jamaican employers post vacancies and job seekers search and apply for roles, with tiered packages for recruiters from small firms to multinationals. It later expanded to list jobs across other Caribbean territories including Trinidad & Tobago, Haiti, Aruba, Cayman, Curacao, Dominica, St Lucia and Suriname. Confidence is medium as the current live status/design of the site was not directly re-verified beyond these secondary sources.
