Office of Utilities Regulation
Jamaica's utilities regulator site for consumer appeals and regulatory decisions
By Office of Utilities Regulation
What it does
The Office of Utilities Regulation regulates Jamaica's electricity, telecommunications and water and sewerage sectors, and its site is the public channel for that work. Consumers who have exhausted a utility's own complaint process can submit an appeal through an online form, with the appeals process and submission requirements set out in the consumer information section.
A media centre and publications archive hold the regulator's determinations, directives, public notices, consultation documents and press releases, organised by sector and category. The consumer charter and service standards for each regulated utility are published there as well, along with tender notices from the office itself.
Contact routes include a toll free consumer line and a consumer email address listed on the site.
